Reviewing shirt listing images before publishing
A consistency checklist for designs, garment colors and listing expectations.
Make a small shot list
Decide what the buyer needs to see: a clear front view, design detail and any genuine back printing. Use the same garment color names in images, variant selectors and descriptions. Do not add a back design to an image if that variant has no back print.
Compare every image with the artwork
Zoom in on letters, thin strokes and small symbols. Generated scenes can alter them, so do not assume a plausible-looking word is correct. Check sleeves and seams for accidental duplicate designs. If fidelity is uncertain, include a separate accurate artwork detail instead of presenting the mockup as proof.
Review the mobile crop
Open the image in a narrow window and check the thumbnail crop. The main design should remain visible without relying on text outside the garment. Keep promotional badges away from the print area. Test any marketplace crop separately because its shape may differ from your store.
Set clear expectations
Use real size measurements in the listing and explain when an image is a mockup. Avoid implying that a pictured person wore a physical sample if they did not. Keep source files and the selected mockup together so future design changes also trigger a listing-image review.
